This is a website for people who are interested in health and social care services (we call ‘care services’).
The website is called the knowledge community. Most people call it the KC.
The KC gives people an easy way to share, learn and work together.
The KC is managed by the Care Services Improvement Partnership (CSIP). CSIP has worked with lots of people to make the website better.
We hope you find the new site easy to use.
How has the knowledge community changed?
The National Institute for Mental Health in England (NIMHE) built the first KC in November 2004. It gave people ways to share their work and connect to each other. A year later NIMHE won a prize for their website. For the past nine months, we have worked with lots of different people and with a company called Ichameleon who build websites to make the KC better.
We have listened to what people said are the most important things it should do, and how it should look and feel. We have made our changes based on what people said.
People who have tested it say we have made the KC better and easier to use. You can read more about how we’ve worked with other people to make the new KC at www.csip.org.uk/kcconsultation
