This poster and companion pdf file were originally produced by the Office of Consumer Affairs, Ohio Department of Mental Health who developed a Recovery Process Model and Emerging Best Practices to define and enhance the quality of mental health services. These were developed as a guide for users of mental health services to explore their understanding of their potential roles in the recovery process and as self-advocates for the delivery of quality services by capable staff. This model attempts to clarify some of what people in recovery have discovered during their personal recovery journeys about their roles and the roles of other people in the recovery process.
